Hairband and Bobby Pin Holder
One day as I was going to throw away an empty parmesan shaker, I had one of those aha moments. Instead of throwing it away I turned it into a hairband and bobby pin holder. Prior to making this I kept all of my hairbands and bobby pins in a drawer in the bathroom. It was a terrible disorganized mess. Now I keep this sitting on my dresser and it's so much easier!

Time Out Writing Prompt – Free Printable
Now that my daughter is nearly seven, her emotions aren't always as clear as they used to be. When she was younger it would be obvious when she was mad or sad, or just needed a nap. Nowadays sometimes I have no idea why she's acting upset and during these times communicating with her can be difficult or even make it worse. Time out at her age simply involves her going to her bedroom until she calms down or is ready to talk, at which point she stomps out eyes downcast and still isn't very happy. So I made this time out writing prompt to give to her during these times to try and help me and her dad understand why she's upset and to giver her a constructive way to express her feelings. 5 Home Remedies for Mommy Guilt
Mommy Guilt: (noun):// An affliction of the mind resulting in feelings of inadequacy associated with motherhood.
Every
mother has experienced it, the dreaded Mommy Guilt. We’re constantly bombarded with supermoms who do it
all. They work, they bake, they sell Girl Scout cookies, head the PTO
committee, and make nearly everything by hand. Their homes are immaculate and
their children are the most well mannered.
Then there’s the rest of us. All
of my cookies are store bought and my crafts usually don’t turn out right. My daughter occasionally watches
too much TV and often times I’ll have
baby in one hand while blogging with the other. I feel guilty for not working
but when I did work I felt guilty for not staying at home. So on days that
Mommy Guilt starts to take over, here are 5 home remedies for dealing with it.

Haunted Tour
We recently went with a good friend on a
haunted tour in Savannah, GA. It was SO much fun! This particular tour was with
Tara’s Tours and included
going on foot at night to various historical and spooky sites, including
several haunted pubs. I’d been on
haunted tours in Savannah before but this one was much better! The next morning
our daughter (being a huge fan of all things spooky) was really excited to look
at the pictures we had taken. It was she who spotted something in one of our
pictures from the Kehoe Inn. It's hard to make out, being taken with an iPhone.
Could it be?
Five Essentials for Newborns

I have a two month old
right now. As prepared as I thought I was there are products that I’ve found this time around that I don’t know how on earth I managed without with my first
daughter. I scoured the internet trying to prepare for the birth of my baby.
Having been six years since the birth of my first, I was a bit….rusty. However, even with all my searching once we
actually got our baby home, we found that there were a number of things that
made life so much easier. And believe me, when you have a newborn anything that
makes life even a little less chaotic is well worth it!
